M 094~ - Quantitative Reasoning Credit(s): 4
Prerequisite(s): appropriate placement test score, a grade of “S” or “C” or better in M 065~ , or Math Department consent. This course is designed for students as the alternative to the traditional algebraic math sequence and to prepare them for college-level math courses emphasizing quantitative methods. Emphasis will be placed on using data and appropriate mathematical models to make decisions, while developing logical reasoning and critical thinking skills. Topics include proportional reasoning, utilizing various graphical representations, linear equations (including systems of linear equations), and basic probability and statistics. (All Semesters)
