MUSI 195 - Applied Music I Credit(s): 1-2
Corequisite(s): MUSI 100 . Title will vary. Private instruction in voice, piano, brass, string, wind and/or percussion instruments. This course covers the study of performing techniques, music interpretation, expression, and style. A student may take a variety of music lessons, but a total of eight credits may be earned for this course. Students receiving financial aid or veteran benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating the course. (All Semesters)
Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to
- Show increased confidence on their instrument.
- Demonstrate the basics of proper technique and musical interpretation.
- Read a basic musical score.
