MCH 290 - Undergraduate Research

Prerequisite(s): instructor’s consent.
This is an undergraduate research course that is under the supervision of a full-time instructor. This course may be repeated for a maximum of 12 credits. Students receiving financial aid or veterans’ benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating this course. (Intermittently)

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to

Demonstrate appropriate use of sources of information in electronic and print formats.
Develop an appropriate research topic.
Conduct a laboratory/field/theoretical study on a topic in advanced manufacturing.
Communicate, in written and/or oral form, the results of the study.
Effectively work in an interdisciplinary setting to achieve a prescribed overall objective or a team goal.
Identify individual responsibilities and accountability associated with a team or group activity and relate the impacts of individual contributions to a larger team or group situation.
