MCH 290 - Undergraduate Research Credit(s): 1-4
Prerequisite(s): instructor’s consent. This is an undergraduate research course that is under the supervision of a full-time instructor. This course may be repeated for a maximum of 12 credits. Students receiving financial aid or veterans’ benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating this course. (Intermittently)
Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to - Demonstrate appropriate use of sources of information in electronic and print formats.
- Develop an appropriate research topic.
- Conduct a laboratory/field/theoretical study on a topic in advanced manufacturing.
- Communicate, in written and/or oral form, the results of the study.
- Effectively work in an interdisciplinary setting to achieve a prescribed overall objective or a team goal.
- Identify individual responsibilities and accountability associated with a team or group activity and relate the impacts of individual contributions to a larger team or group situation.
