 A study of the history, materials, techniques and presentation of transparent watercolor, this course considers a variety of subject matter. Summer classes will be conducted “en plein air” (outdoors) weather permitting. (All Semesters)
 
 Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to
 
 
	Demonstrate the basic technical aspects of paint handling and manipulation, formal composition, and color theory and mixing.Explain tools, materials, craftsmanship, content, and professionalism.Discuss the various tools and techniques of transparent watercolor and to fain an understanding and appreciation of its many facets.Discuss critical and conceptual concerns, such as visual problem solving and development of personal expression and visual language.Understand the history of the medium and its foremost practices, past and present.Develop a portfolio of finished work, properly signed and matted for presentation.Examine the role of the Arts as a reflection of culture.
