Prerequisite(s): PHSX 205 . This is the second semester of a two-semester sequence for students who need physics to support work in other fields. It may not be used as a prerequisite for advanced work in physics. The mathematical study, using algebraic, trigonometric, and vector methods, of electricity and magnetism including forces, fields, and energy; induction; and AC and DC circuits; light, geometric and wave optics and optical devices; and selected topics from modern physics including special relativity, atomic physics, and nuclear and quantum physics applications. Laboratory work is included. (Spring Semester)
