CSCI 208 - Game Programming I Credit(s): 4
Prerequisite(s): any one of the following: CSCI 100 , CSCI 107 , CSCI 113 , or CSCI 127 . This introductory course in game programming explores the fundamentals of interactive 3D environments using the Unreal Engine or other production platforms. Students learn to work with physics engines, sound widgets, graphic engines, and materials while creating and editing primitives, textures, and meshes. The course introduces lighting concepts and techniques, basic landscape design, particle effects using the Niagara system, and essential game mechanics. The course uses the Unreal Engine or another production platform. (Fall Semester)

- Create, edit, and manipulate primitives.
- Create and edit textures and meshes.
