ACT 216 - Functional Training

Students will participate in a circuit-based, functional training routine to build strength using compound exercises that recruit multiple muscles and joints to work together. Workouts are based on fundamental human movement patterns that build strength to enhance performance and support healthy body function in all activities. (Fall and Spring Semesters)

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to
  • Develop a baseline level of fitness.
  • Properly support the body in the mechanics of functional movement.
  • Utilize weights and machines to build strength and endurance.
