ELCT 255 - Journeyman Electrician’s Exam Preparation

This course will prepare students to successfully take the electrical journeyman licensing examination. There will be a review of topics that were covered in previous courses in the apprentice curriculum. Practice exams will be introduced and discussed with the purpose of assisting students in understanding how questions are worded, and how to best study for the journeyman examination. (All Semesters)

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to

Describe coherent subject groupings in the National Electrical Code.
Perform calculations that are commonly found on the examinations.
Discuss the most common parts of the National Electrical Code.
