PHOT 254 - Intermediate Digital Photography Credit(s): 3
Prerequisite(s): PHOT 154 . This course gives students advanced instruction in specialized digital photography areas: shooting at night, using flash and related tools, shooting portraiture, macro-photographing, indoor shooting and printing. Basic computer skills required. (All Semesters)
Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to
- Explain how images are captured with digital cameras and scanners.
- Diagnose the anatomy of digital images.
- Understand imaging systems relating to image processing, storage and transmission.
- Determine which printer devices are suitable for particular needs.
- Distinguish similarities and differences between digital and traditional film photography.
- Express artistic creativity using digital technology.
- Construct a mounted and matted print for display.
