M 140M - College Math for Healthcare Credit(s): 3
Prerequisite(s): appropriate placement test score, a grade of “C” or better in M 094~ , or Math Department consent. This course will apply mathematical reasoning and problem solving to the healthcare field. Topics covered include operations in the real number system, linear functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, dimensional analysis, concentration calculations, proportional reasoning, introductory statistics (including basic regression analysis), and introductory probability concepts. This course is intended for students pursuing healthcare programs. (Fall and Spring Semesters)
