ACT 230 - Intermediate Yoga

Prerequisite(s): ACT 150  or instructor’s consent.
This course explores the principles, philosophy, history, and practices of yoga.  Students will learn how to use yoga as a transformative tool by applying yoga principles to life experiences.  Topics include the origins of different practices, principles of alignment and energetic actions, and asana poses used to facilitate the process of self-reflection. This course may be repeated for a total of two credits.  Students receiving financial aid or veterans’ benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating this course.
