MUSI 162x - Chamber Ensembles: Woodwinds

Prerequisite(s): instructor’s consent.
This course consists of woodwind ensembles as appropriate to meet student needs. This course can be repeated for a total of six credits. Students receiving financial aid or veteran benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating this course. (Intermittently)

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to

Demonstrate confidence on their instrument.
Demonstrate the basics of proper technique and musical interpretation.
Exhibit how to read a basic musical score.
Understand and synthesize information regarding the basic function of an orchestra/ensemble and become familiar with symphonic orchestra/ensemble literature.
Demonstrate knowledge of symphonic orchestra/ensemble concepts through performances.
