                  MUSI 296y - Piano Proficiency Assessment  Credit(s): 0
  Prerequisite(s): instructor’s consent. All majors transferring to the University of Montana and who are pursuing a B.M. or B.M.E. degree must successfully complete all sections of the Piano Proficiency Assessment in order to attain upper-division standing in music. The exam is administered at the end of the semester and held at the University of Montana campus.  This course may be repeated a total of eight times.  Students receiving Financial Aid or veteran benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating the course. 
  Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to  
	- Demonstrate correct technique and playing skills through a proficiency exam at the piano.
 
	- Complete the technical requirements on piano to successfully proceed to upper division courses.
