BIOB 105NL - Introduction to Biotechnology

This course is an introduction to the rapidly-expanding field of biotechnology and its applications to human and veterinary medicine, agriculture, biofuels, bioremediation, and bioinformatics. Laboratory exercises will include basic laboratory safety, measurement methods, microbial cell culture, bacterial transformation, and other core skills used in the biotechnology laboratory.
