MUSI 295 - Applied Music II Credit(s): 1-2
Prerequisite(s): MUSI 195 and instructor’s consent. Corequisite(s): MUSI 100 . Title will vary. Continued private instruction in voice, piano, brass, string, wind and/or percussion instruments. This course covers the study of performing techniques, music interpretation, expression and style at a more intermediate level. A student may take a variety of music lessons, but a total of eight credits may be earned for this course. Students receiving financial aid or veteran benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating the course. (All Semesters)
Course Learning Outcomes - Display the practice skills and performance techniques to be prepared for upper division music courses.
- Show confidence on their instrument.
- Demonstrate appropriate musical interpretation of various genres and time periods.
- Exhibit how to read a musical score at an intermediate level.
